The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Qatar honored 603 outstanding Quran learners

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) of Qatar, on behalf of the Department of Dawah and Religious Guidance, held the annual ceremony of the Holy Quran and Its Sciences Section to honor a group of elites and graduates of Quranic education centers for the years 2023 and 2024.

Hawzah News Agency- The ceremony honored 603 students at various levels of education, from introductory stages to complete memorization of the Holy Quran, in addition to 15 distinguished heads of Quranic centers and 100 distinguished teachers, for their dedicated efforts in serving the Book of God and advancing Quranic education.

The ceremony included recitation of the Quran by students at various levels, followed by a speech by Jassim bin Abdullah Al-Ali, Director of the Dawah Section. He stressed that the event reflects the ministry’s commitment to honoring the Quran’s memorizers and strengthening the role of Quranic centers as educational and moral institutions that play a role in raising a complete generation aware of their Islamic identity.

Al-Ali highlighted the major achievements of the Quran and its sciences sector in the past two years, including the graduation of 181 students with full Quran memorization, the advancement of 422 Qatari students to higher levels of memorization, and the enrollment of 92 outstanding Qatari students at Al-Nour Quranic Center.

He also mentioned the holding of various educational and recreational programs to motivate students attending these centers.

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) reaffirmed its continuous efforts to provide a stimulating learning environment in Quranic education centers and equip them with the latest educational tools, which help preserve the Holy Quran and disseminate its noble values, in line with Qatar’s vision to promote the values of tolerant Islam.
